Today was the big day, we had our sonogram (I will be 21 weeks tomorrow, according to my records). The ultrasound technician was WONDERFUL, her name was Tatiana and she just had such a calm, laid-back manner. She talked to us through the whole thing, explaining and showing the baby's anatomy (she graciously agreed to skip over the tell-tale anatomy we didn't want to see) :) Her words were "What a beautiful heart" as she pointed out the clear four chambers and we saw and heard the little heartbeat thump-thumping away. Baby was SO cooperative and "posed" for some great shots! I posted some here, but they are pix of pix, so they didn't turn out as clear as I'd hoped. You get the idea though. :)
Tatiana took some awesome pictures, lots more than the technician with Aaron. We saw 2 legs, 2 arms, 2 feet, 2 hands, an adorable little profile. We are overjoyed and praising the Lord for this blessing of great news about our little one! At the end of the ultrasound, she let Kevin's mom, Jerri, come in with Aaron, and they got to see the baby on the screen, moving around, showing all of us arms, legs, face, etc. Aaron of course, was very upset to see Mommy laid out on a bed with some medical equipment rubbing over my belly and immediately started to cry and reach for me. So, we were SUPER thankful that Nanna was there to wait with him for the majority of the appointment. Judging by the baby's current size and weight (15 oz, can't remember length!), my due-date is closer to Sept. 10th. Last time, my calculations had Aaron due June 8th, and the technician said June 4th, which was his birthday. So, here is a 4 day difference again...we'll see who's correct! :)
That's all wonderful news....so glad the baby looks perfect! Can't wait to know if Aaron's getting a brother or a sister in just a few months!!
