Yesterday was so packed and tiring that I couldn't even post about it until today. Not to mention I have several weeks' worth of script, video and photos to post but really just need to document yesterday as a way of having some closure, then I can move on (or go back, in terms of blogging). Aaron is still recovering from his ear infection, so he was a little fussy yesterday morning but did take a decent AM nap, which led me to believe we'd have a good schedule the rest of the day. After his nap, we went out to drop of some paperwork to the loan agent (yes, we're looking to buy a house, another post I'm behind on) and go by the cleaners for a pair of pants they had "misplaced" a few weeks back. I dropped off the paperwork, went to the cleaners, and was almost back to the house when I realized that the folder of our copy of the loan docs were not in the car. It dawned on me that I had placed them on the roof of the van when strapping Aaron into his seat. Fear. Shock. Dread. Panic. Kinda' all hit at once. I made a quick U turn and immediately called the loan officer as I'm retracing my steps (or "wheel tracks") back to the office. I could go on and on about all the crazy details but it's just too exhausting. Long story short, after almost an hour I think of looking around, with the help of two of the loan officers, we did locate most of the documents and PRAISE THE LORD nothing with our social security #'s were on those documents that were lost. THAT is a miracle, seriously. Just a side note, at the cleaners, they tried to tell me it would cost $32 to pick up my pants, as they had to "special handle" them. PLEASE, I didn't even pay that much for the pants and the "leather" trim is fake, and they've never had to special handle them before. I'm disputing it, my pants are still there.
So back at the house, I try putting Aaron down for his nap, the power washer guy is outside and there's lots going on in the house, and I just want to look through the loan papers and try to re-group and Aaron won't nap. Then the cable and internet go out, so I can't email or blog or anything and our realtor/good friend Jim still hasn't heard anything from the seller about whether or not they like our contract on the house we like, and WOW, the day feels like it went on forever!! By the time Kevin got home from working a late, long day, we were both just ready to crash. But we had some good time to talk and pray and reflect on God's goodness despite having such crazy and interesting days and how He's ultimately and always Sovereign over all things. What a blessing! (and no, unfortunately I do not have any photos of me and Aaron frantically going up and down the streets and parking lots searching for the lost loan papers but I'm sure it was a site!).
