Can't Win

Little Aaron's had it rough as of late. He started off with a cold that seemed to last forever, then it turned into an ear infection, just when we thought we were beating out the cold! This was his first cold and first time taking amoxicillan. The directions stated "may cause diahrea" so I wasn't too panicked or surprised when he had his first blow-out in a long time, shortly after the first dose of medicine. Well, four days later, I was getting worried. On top of the diahrea, he now had little red spots, almost the size of pinheads, all over his torso and some on his face and neck. I called the doctor and they confirmed he was likely having an allergic reaction, so they immediately called him in a form of arithromycin, which did not seem to both him nearly as much. I decided I really like the latter of the two meds, for the obvious reason of no allergic reaction, but also because it's a single dose, for 5 days only. Amox was like 10 days, twice a day! Not happy he went through the rough patch, but kinda' thankful we found a med we like better. :)
