35 weeks

Today I went to the doctor and my sister Hannah came with me to hang out with Aaron and to hear Pea's heartbeat. :) Overall, the appt was uneventful, other than the doctor took the cultures for GBS (Group B Strep) so soon I will know if I have to go into rush mode when my water breaks and if I have to take antibiotics during labor and delivery so Pea doesn't get infected. I was struck again with how grateful I am for modern medicine that the Lord has made available to us to help protect our little ones from disease and infection. I asked about having an epidural vs. going natural in relation to my VBAC status, and she said it doesn't really matter which way I start out, we'll assess as we go along. She also said that it's pretty normal that I'm feeling more discomfort and pressure earlier with the second pregnancy. Haven't had any contractions other than Braxton Hix/Hicks ? yet but I have to say, I've really felt SO much more stretching, soreness, just overall pressure and discomfort in the past few weeks. Maybe because I'm on my feet more with Aaron? Still sporting the support hose, they are a lifesaver, as is my heartburn medication. :) For anyone reading this, our prayer request is that the baby will wait until at least September 1st to greet us. After that, we hope we'll be eligible for some insurance through Virginia's program for mothers called FAMIS. Thanks for the prayers! We know the Lord is guiding and leading us every step of the way and praise Him for His perfect sovereignty, no matter what the outcome.

Just for fun, here are some recent preggo pix of me. I realized I haven't really "captured" the essence of my belly as of late. :)
