Lesson Learned
Well, we learned a valuable lesson today, in a not-so-fun way, but OH so much better than the really hard way. Don't even want to think about that. I put Aaron in his exersaucer upstairs, while she was vacuuming the living room one floor down. He was playing with an empty water bottle, which he's done a hundred times before. I couldn't hear him over the vacuum, but his Uncle Andy (God bless him), heard Aaron start to cry, as did Kevin from the other room. They initially thought he was just tired of being alone up there, but Andy went up to check on him. In about 2 seconds he came flying down the stairs, telling me urgently that Aaron just threw up. We all raced upstairs and Kevin quickly saw a piece of blue plastic wrapper in his mouth. The poor baby had ripped off a piece of the bottle label with his teeth, swallowed it, and then his gag reflexes choked it back up, along with half the contents of his afternoon bottle. We were SO thankful, needless to say, that one, Uncle Andy checked on him and two, that his gag reflexes worked so well. We all learned (especially Mommy!) never to give Aaron a plastic water bottle with a label again, especially unattended!

Geez, that's a good reminder for all us moms...things can happen unexpectedly in a moment! Glad he's okay!
